Are there any Banks or ATMs in Kardamyli?

Whilst there are no physical banks in Kardamyli, there are several ATM machines should you require to withdraw EURO’s. PIRAEUS Bank ATM is located at SPIREAS SUPERMARKET, ALPHABANK ATM is located at ANDROUVTISA Café. There are also non bank ATM’s in the village. Located at DIMITREAS Supermarket and the Pharmacy – non bank ATM’S may charge a higher service free.

Yes, there is a pharmacy located in the centre of the village. It is open 6 days per week (closed on Sundays)

Do I need travel insurance when travelling to Kardamyli?

It is highly advisable to have comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of your trip (not just Kardamyli) Whilst we sincerely hope you will never need to use it, it is a great service to have and to ensure you have “peace of mind” should you require any medical assistance.

Emergency Service is free in Greece, and public ambulances are available in larger cities. However, it may be challenging to find one in a rural area or on some islands at times.

Greece, uses the two pin European power plugs and is powered by 220V. If you are visiting from countries that run on lower voltage, it is your responsibility to bring with you the relevant transformers or use equipment that can run on 220V output.

2 of the 3 supermarkets are open daily with generous operating hours.
The third supermarket is open Monday - Saturday.

There are several delicious and traditional greek dishes that are considered vegetarian, including - Yemista (stuffed vegetables), Bamyes (Okra) , Fassolakia (String Beans), Briam (Baked Mixed Vegetables in a light red sauce). Ofcourse, you can also enjoy a delicious greek salad with all the ingredients locally sourced.
Vegan? Just let the restaurant or café know that you are after something Vegan and they just may be able to whip something up for you.
